Make Deposits Online with Star One's ezDeposit!

Star One's ezDeposit lets you deposit multiple checks in real-time directly into your Star One accounts and Loans from the comfort of your home or office. Using your Internet-connected computer and almost any scanner, checks can be deposited in just a few simple steps. It's like having your own personal Branch or ATM access from work or home.

To use the service, log in to Online Banking, select the "ezDeposit" link and follow the instructions. See the "Help" file within the interface for more details, tips and requirements.

INSTRUCTIONS

After accepting the ezDeposit disclosure, you will see the screens below.

  • First time users should click on the "No, I want to review or correct my scanner settings" radio button on the first screen. This allows you to set up your scanner.
  • Returning users should click on the, "Yes, nothing has changed" radio button.

For automated scanning on Java enabled browsers, click on the "Use our Java scanning wizard to upload deposits" radio button.

If using a non-Java enabled browser, click on "Scan, save and upload your check images manually." Using this method allows you to scan and save the front and back check images to your desktop, then browse and upload into the software.

Make sure your images are saved as black and white or grayscale, .JPG or .TIFF, 1 megabyte or less, and 300+ dots per inch (dpi).

Follow the instructions regarding check placement on the scanning bed. Each image (front and back) will be evaluated. You may be asked to crop or re-scan the image.

When you are finished scanning you will see a screen similar to the one below. Note the message at the top. If it tells you that "0 checks need review/correction," you can skip to the bottom and click on the "Continue" button. If you do need to review, change the "Review Status" drop down menu to "All" and verify each check. Submit.

You're finished. 

To confirm your deposit, log out of Online Banking, and log in again.  Check your transactions.  Your deposit should show.  If it doesn't, please give us a call  at (408) 543-5202 or (866) 543-5202.
