Savings Accounts

A Star One Money Market Savings account is your key to membership, and it pays an excellent return which is consistently well above market average. Join the Credit Union today by opening a savings account with a minimum deposit of only $50.

You will receive a monthly statement that shows your savings account activity, as well as the transactions made on other types of Credit Union accounts. You may also use our Online Banking Service and choose to receive your statement electronically.

Sub-Savings Accounts

Note: Existing members can log in to Online Banking and click on the “Online Services” tab for a shorter application and real-time account opening and funding of Checking, Initial Certificate, and Sub-Savings accounts.

You can open multiple sub-savings accounts depending on your needs. For ease of reference, you can give each account a Nickname. You can turn on this function and choose your account Nicknames in User Options within Online Banking. Nicknames only show in Online Banking and are not included on your monthly statement.

Star One Credit Union accounts are federally insured to at least $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the United States Government. Learn more about NCUA insurance.

Note on Federal Regulation D: "Reg D" limits the number of electronic transfers you may make from a savings account during a calendar month to six (excluding loan and Visa payments). There is no limit on the number of electronic transfers you may make from your checking account. This applies to Scheduled & Recurring Transfers as well.

How to Join

To join Star One, complete our simple Membership Application. We encourage you to complete the application online. However, we currently require an original, ink signature from you. So after you complete the application, you will need to print it out, sign it, and mail it to us, along with a copy of each account owner's I.D. (or bring it to a branch, if that is more convenient). Your online application will be saved in our database. If you choose, you may begin your application online and complete it at any branch.

Minimum deposit requirements:

Membership Savings account = $50.00
Sub-Savings accounts = $5.00
Checking account = $100.00
