How to Dispute a Charge

Star One is dedicated to assisting you with the dispute process by making it as simple and stress free as possible. 

Completion and submission of a Cardholder Dispute form to our Card Service department must be made no later than 60 days after we sent you the first statement on which the transaction appeared. 

Let’s begin by determining if your card dispute is a ‘Fraudulent’ Transaction or a ‘Non-Fraudulent’ Transaction.

NON-FRAUDULENT
FRAUDULENT
A non-fraudulent transaction is one in which you or your authorized user(s) participated. This can include:

  • a prior business relationship with the merchant
  • a recurring monthly charge
  • free trials or
  • a duplicate charge.

Dispute a Non-Fraudulent transaction.

A fraudulent transactions is one in which you or your authorized user(s) did not participate and/or authorize, nor received products or services from merchant.

 

Dispute a Fraudulent transaction.
