How Star One protects YOU

Your security is our top priority. That's why we go out of our way to make sure your information is protected. These are just a few of the things we do to ensure your privacy:

• We use ChexSystems and ChexSystems' "Fraud Finder" to verify new accounts.
• We always check your ID (normally your driver's license) and make sure your ID is current when opening a new account and when performing transactions in the branch.
• When you call in to talk to a service representative, specific questions are asked so that we know we are talking to YOU.
• We discourage using your mother's maiden name (and other obvious phrases) as one of your account identifiers. Please note, however, that Star One may be currently using this information in combination with other identifiers. • We mail change of address confirmation letters to your address of record.
• Your social security number is excluded from your mailed account statements.
• Online statements are available to all Online Banking users to minimize the risk of mail fraud.
• Your member number is excluded from your ATM receipts.
• Our entire web site, not just Online Banking, is behind a firewall to protect your online transactions and inquiries.
