Fight Against Elder Financial Abuse
Star One is committed to assisting members who may be dealing with diminished capacity or may be at risk of elder financial abuse. Star One employees are trained to bring suspected elder financial abuse issues to the attention of the Beneficiary/Retiree Services Group.
We recognize that elder financial abuse is a serious threat to our senior and dependent adult member population. Through our partnership with local authorities and other financial institutions, Star One is taking steps towards educating our members and staff, in raising awareness in the early detection, prevention, and dealing with suspected or known elder financial abuse.
