In addition to our checking and savings accounts we offer other services like coin redemption, notary service, cashier's checks and more.

Coin Redemption

Each Star One branch features a coin-counting machine that can deposit the value of your coins directly into your Star One account at no charge! No need to wait in line for assistance from a teller.

Foreign or damaged coins will not be counted and may not be returned.

Foreign Check Collection

Star One will collect foreign checks, provided the minimum check amount is $250. In addition to Star One's collection fee, the foreign bank may assess additional service charges, even if the foreign check is returned unpaid.

The fee for collecting a foreign check is $50.00.

Medallion STAMP Signature Guarantee

Star One Credit Union is a qualified guarantor of Medallion Signature Guarantees up to $250K for members. For specific information and documentation, please call us.

For best service, please make an appointment online for a Medallion STAMP Signature Guarantee.

The first signature is free of charge. The second and subsequent signatures cost $10.00 each.

Notary Service

Notary Service is available at all branches. We will notarize one document per day at no charge. The second and subsequent documents are $15.00 each.

Cashier's Checks

As opposed to a personal check, Cashier's Checks provide enhanced acceptability by the payee.

A Cashier's Check is:

  1. Drawn on the credit union;
  2. Signed by an officer or employee of the credit union on behalf of the credit union as drawer;
  3. A direct obligation of the credit union; and
  4. Provided to a member of the credit union or acquired from the credit union for remittance purposes.

Cashier's Checks requested by phone, fax or Touchtone Teller before 3:00 p.m. PST, are mailed to the members' home address on the same business day. Those requested after 3:00 p.m. PST, are mailed to the members' home address on the following business day.

U.S. Savings Bond Sales

The U.S. Treasury has terminated the sale of U.S. Savings Bonds through credit unions and banks. Savings Bonds purchases must be made via

U.S. Savings Bond Redemption

The Credit Union redeems U.S. Savings Bonds (Series E, EE and I) at all Star One branch locations.

All bonds redeemed must be eligible for payment, which is at least twelve months after the issue date. The bonds must be signed in the presence of a Star One representative. There are additional U.S. Bond redemption requirements that must be fulfilled at the time of redemption.

Scam and Fraud Alert

Several Star One members reported receiving a phone call or text from a person claiming to be from Star One's fraud department with a caller ID reflecting 866-543-5202.

The caller is impersonating a Star One employee to gain your trust with the goal of getting access to your account.

The caller may try to reassure you that it's OK to share your information—please hang up, it's not OK, EVER!
