Minal Gupta
President & CEO
Minal Gupta is president and CEO of Star One Credit Union and brings over two decades of financial services and innovation expertise to her role. She leads with a member-first philosophy, leveraging technology and innovation to elevate the member experience, while driving organizational excellence through culture and employee empowerment. As senior vice president and then executive vice president and chief operations officer, Minal spearheaded Star One’s digital evolution, advancing innovative payment solutions like Zelle® and Same Day ACH, and notably positioning the Credit Union as the first in the nation to offer real-time payments through the FedNow Service. Under her leadership, Star One became the first community-based financial institution to launch Paze℠, delivering a seamless digital wallet experience to members. Minal also serves on the Board of Directors of Payfinia, a credit union service organization she helped to launch in 2024.
Minal holds a Bachelor of Arts in business management from Cal State Fullerton and an M.B.A. from San Jose State University. Prior to Star One, she held senior leadership roles at Fremont Bank, Citibank and Wells Fargo.
Brian Ross
Executive Vice President & CFO
Brian Ross is executive vice president and chief financial officer at Star One Credit Union, overseeing finance, accounting, information systems and administration. He has over two decades of leadership experience in banking, including extensive experience in financial management and strategy. An advocate for the credit union movement, Brian’s disciplined approach to financial management drives member value, empowers employees, and strengthens organizational resilience. Before joining Star One, Brian held senior leadership positions in finance and treasury at community banks.
Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Monmouth College. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME), a Certified Chief Executive (CCE), and a graduate of multiple executive leadership institutes.
Ryan Barringer
Executive Vice President & COO
Ryan Barringer is executive vice president and chief operations officer at Star One Credit Union, where he leads operational strategy and member experience initiatives. He has over two decades of expertise driving growth and innovation in consumer and commercial banking, and across marketing, sales management, brand development, and customer experience. Ryan’s focus is on driving operational efficiency while maximizing member value and growth. Before joining Star One, Ryan held senior leadership roles at Western Alliance Bank, Bridge Bank, Torrey Pines Bank, and CEFCU.
He holds dual M.B.A.s from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University, where he was awarded a fellowship in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute, and the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University, in addition to a B.S. from San José State University, and a Professional Certificate in marketing from UC Berkeley.
