Domestic or international one-time electronic funds transfers between Star One and other financial institutions.
Often used for large sums, such as for a mortgage down payment.

** Lower fee applies if account/loan balance is over $5,000 or if submitted online.

- All wire transfer requests are subject to Star One approval.
- Star One will call you to confirm the transaction amount and beneficiary details of your outgoing wire transfer.
- For your security we may use additional authentication methods to verify your identity.
Deadlines
Wire transfers are sent on weekday business days only.
1:00 pm PST for same-day international outgoing wires.
2:00 pm PST for same-day domestic outgoing wires.
3:00 pm PST for same-day domestic incoming wires. (International incoming wire transfers may take additional time.)
To receive a wire transfer into your Star One account, please provide the domestic or international instructions below to the financial institution sending the funds.
Star One Credit Union does not charge a fee for incoming wire transfers.
There is a 3:00 p.m. PST deadline for same-day domestic incoming wires. International incoming wire transfers may take additional time.

Incoming International Wire Instructions
- Star One does not charge a fee for incoming wire transfers.
- Fees may be charged by other financial institutions during the wire transfer process which are beyond Star One’s control.
For incoming wire transfers that are not initiated in US dollars, Canadian Dollars, Euros and Great British Pounds, please call us for instructions.
Wires are posted throughout the day, Monday through Friday until 3:00 p.m. Any wires received at the end of day will be posted the next business day (Monday through Friday).
If the foreign-exchange currency rate is locked in, the amount to be received is guaranteed (less any service charges as mentioned above).
However, if a wire is sent in USD, the exchange rate will be unknown.

Domestic Wires are sent within the United States in US Dollars only. A US Bank is a bank that is incorporated within the United States, or subject to Federal and State Banking Regulations, whose deposits are insured by an Agency of the Federal Government.
To send a Domestic Wire, the following information is needed:
- Receiving bank name, address and 9-digit ABA/Routing number and,
- Recipient's name, address and account number.
The Outgoing Wire Transfer Request Form is located in Online Banking in the Forms menu.
Please note that the receiving institution may charge an additional fee for incoming wires.
Unlike many institutions, Star One does not add a markup to the standard fee for foreign-currency wire transfers.
We send funds in the receiving country's currency, unless the receiving account is specifically designated as a US Dollar account. This ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for remittance transfers.
Prior to your wire being sent, Star One provides disclosures to you, which include details such as the rate of conversion to the foreign currency. For requests received by fax, the disclosure will be sent to the email address on record at Star One.
A 30-minute waiting time applies before a wire transfer is sent, in case you wish to cancel.
Outgoing international wire transfers are processed through a US Correspondent Bank. The recipient bank is responsible for crediting the received funds. The actual amount received by the recipient may be reduced by charges imposed by the recipient bank. For more information about foreign exchange, call us.
It is important to note that if there are any errors on an international wire transfer sent in foreign currency, Star One may not be notified of any delay or problem for up to 10 business days.
To initiate an outgoing international wire transfer, please call us during regular business hours for information and instructions. Accuracy is very important when completing your request form. Incorrect or incomplete information can delay a wire transfer.

You have the right to cancel a remittance transfer and obtain a refund of all funds paid to us, including any fees. To cancel a remittance transfer, you must contact us within 30 minutes of payment for the transfer.
When you contact us, you must provide us with information to help us identify the transfer you wish to cancel, including the amount and location where the funds were sent. We will refund your money within three business days of your request to cancel a transfer as long as the funds have not already been picked up or deposited into a recipient's account.
You must contact us within 180 days of the date we promised to you that funds would be made available to the recipient. When you do, please tell us:
- Your name and address or telephone number;
- The error or problem with the transfer, and why you believe it is an error or problem;
- The name of the person receiving the funds (recipient), and if you know, his or her telephone number or address;
- The dollar amount of the transfer;
- The confirmation code or number of the transaction.
We will determine whether an error occurred within 90 days after you contact us and we will correct any error as soon as possible. We will tell you the results within three business days after completing our investigation. If we decide that there was no error, we will send you a written explanation. You may ask for copies of any documents we used in our investigation.
